Macalline Center of Art (MACA), is a leading institution dedicated to producing high-quality contemporary art exhibitions and programs. As a non-profit organization, MACA relies on the generosity of private donors and corporate patrons to sustain our initiatives and missions.

MACA operates on various funding sources. In addition to ticket sales and merchandise, we welcome donations from individuals, groups, and corporations, as well as sponsorships from other institutions. Thank you for your support, which directly contributes to the growth of MACA and the advancement of contemporary art.

Corporations may support MACA by sponsoring exhibitions, public programs, and special events, or by collaborating with MACA on joint projects.     In-kind donation, such as equipment for exhibitions or products for openings and special events, directly support MACA’s operations. XF Project

In early 2024, MACA launched the XF Project, a patron group designed to deepen engagement with contemporary art. This program offers exclusive activities, such as art trips; studio visits with artists, designers, and architects; VIP previews; private bespoken events; annual party; and guided tours of art fairs and biennials.     The XF Companion program is designed to guide and support emerging voices eager to explore the world of contemporary art. Members gain access to  professional knowledge and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.

Annual Party: Confabulation

MACA’s Annual Party, “Confabulation,” takes place on the second weekend of November each year. It gathers leaders from the worlds of art, culture, and business for an evening of creative connections. Since its inception in 2019, the party has been a platform for experimental and innovative content, connecting diverse communities and creating impactful art events. Highlights include the launch of China’s first contemporary art stand-up comedy series, Confabulation Open Mic, in 2023.

Corporations or individuals can support the Annual Party through financial sponsorship or in-kind donations. This collaboration expands social networks, enhances corporate branding, and opens avenues in the art market. Contributions directly support the event’s preparation and MACA’s future community service initiatives.

Host Your Event at MACA

MACA’s distinctive space is a landmark within the 798 Art District, making it an ideal venue for hosting various events. From brand exhibitions and museum-exclusive gatherings to product launches and special celebrations, its artistic ambiance, avant-garde design, and professional equipment provide the perfect backdrop for an extraordinary event experience.

Designed by renowned Chinese conceptual contemporary artist Liu Wei and completed in 2022, MACA’s architectural space boasts a futuristic aesthetic with elegant geometric lines and expansive silver, blue, and green tones. Spanning approximately 700 square meters, the two-story structure includes large exhibition halls on both floors and a versatile foyer space for educational programs, academic discussions, or events.

The space is equipped with full network coverage, a professional lighting system, and advanced audiovisual equipment. MACA also collaborates with corporate clients and large groups to tailor events, including “Museum Nights” that combine private tours with exclusive dining experiences.

The Macalline Center of Art (MACA) is a non-profit art institution located in the 798 Art District of Beijing and officially inaugurated its space on January 15, 2022. Occupying a two-story building with a total area of 900 square meters, MACA unites artists, curators, and other art and cultural practitioners from around the world. Through its diverse, ongoing, and collaborative approaches, the Center establishes a new site on the contemporary art scene. Guided by the “work of artists” and backed by interdisciplinary research, the Center aims to bring together a community passionate about art and devoted to the “contemporary” moment so as to respond proactively to our rapidly evolving times.
